Future Concerts
Christmas 2026 – 5 December: James Whitbourn ‘Missa Carolae’; Bach ‘Jauchzet, frohlocket’ from Christmas Oratorio; children’s choir, boy soloist, brass + instrumental ensemble, choir and audience carols. Note that this concert starts at 6.30 pm. Details of the afternoon rehearsal timings tba.
Spring 2027 – 20 March: Rossini ’Stabat Mater’; Bruckner ‘Te Deum in C’
Summer 2027 – 12 June: Café Concert with Natural World theme, including Britten ‘Flower Songs’; Gjeilo ‘The Northern Lights’; other related songs. St Paul’s Church.
Christmas 2027 – 4 December: Charpentier ‘Messe de Minuit’; children’s choir, brass + instrumental ensemble, choir and audience carols
Spring 2028 – 1 April: Mozart ‘Mass in C minor’ and ‘Solemn Vespers’

Audio Tracks
Audio tracks of the choir performing have been added to the website. On the Home page there is a new box “Listen to us” – if you click on this, you will hear a selection from the 2021 performance of Messiah. If you go to the Choir Photos and Videos page – now titled Choir Photos, Audio Tracks and Videos – you will find further tracks. You can get to the page using this link; scroll down until you see Audio Tracks.
Rehearsal files
We recommend using John Fletcher’s rehearsal files – you can get to the special Brockham Choral page on the website by clicking here – you will then need to log in in the usual way.
Rehearsals
Tuesday rehearsals: Please exit the school quickly at the end of rehearsals on Tuesdays as otherwise it delays the caretaker from locking up.
Rehearsal safety: To help protect yourself and others, please do not come if you have any Covid-19 symptoms or if you have a cough or cold
Rehearsal etiquette: Please do not chat during the rehearsal. This distracts all those of us who are trying hard to learn and to listen to the Music Director. Please also discourage your neighbour if they try to chat to you. A listening choir is a learning choir.
There‘s plenty of opportunity for conversation before rehearsal and/or during the interval, or after rehearsal at the pub!
Fundraising
How does it work?
You shop directly with the retailer as you would normally, but you go via the easyfundraising site and use the links to take you to the retailer. A percentage of whatever you spend comes directly to us at no extra cost to yourself (you can still get all the online discounts and savings you normally would). You can download a special toolbar which will prompt you everytime you visit a site where a donation to the choir can be made, so you don’t even have to remember to go via the easyfundraising website.
How much can you raise?
Spend £100 with M&S online or Amazon and you raise £2.50 for us, and so on. There’s over 2,000 retailers on their site, and some of the donations can be as much as 15% of your purchase. As well as retailers, you can buy broadband, mobile phones, insurance, travel, and lots of other services.
Easyfundraising is FREE to use, and you’ll get access to hundreds of exclusive discounts and voucher codes, so not only will you be helping us, you’ll be saving money yourself.
